Job Summary
This role involves ensuring the operational readiness and maintenance of creditor and debtor workflows, accounts receivable (ABVPSCD), and budget management within the SAP application environment for the City of Dortmund's IT department. The successful candidate will support the implementation and operation of SAP applications, provide system support and maintenance, and lead or participate in projects, including concept development. Key responsibilities also include conducting application training and program testing, as well as advising on test scenario development. The ideal candidate will have prior SAP experience, strong accounting knowledge, and an interest in information processing and technology. Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree or FH Diploma in Business Administration, Economics, Administrative Sciences, or comparable finance-related fields. Alternatively, Beamte (civil servants) of career group 2, first entry-level of non-technical administrative service (including Dipl. Finanzwirte) or administrative specialists who have successfully completed Verwaltungslehrgang II.
Experience
- Professional experience with SAP
- Strong knowledge in accounting and creditor/debtor bookkeeping
- Initial experience in project management
- Experience with HGB (German Commercial Code) and municipal budget law, or willingness to acquire this knowledge quickly
- Experience with standard software products used by the City of Dortmund
