Job Summary

The Facility Manager will take strategic and operational responsibility for the maintenance, renovation, and construction activities across multiple Swiss production and administration sites for a leading international mechanical engineering company specializing in pharmaceutical technology. Key responsibilities include developing strategic maintenance plans, managing budgets, overseeing the lifecycle of technical systems and buildings, and leading complex renovation and expansion projects. You will ensure operational safety, manage vendor contracts (maintenance, cleaning), and optimize building operation concepts. This highly autonomous role requires coordinating internal processes, collaborating with Global HQ and EMEA teams, and acting as a charismatic leader. Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Civil Engineering, Building Technology/Facility Management (FM), or a similar relevant technical field, combined with further training in FM.

Experience

  • Long-term professional experience in a similar leadership position
  • Experience as a Safety Officer in technical Facility Management of buildings and production facilities (preferably in a highly regulated environment like cleanroom production)
  • Proven experience in managing and coordinating expansion and renovation projects within the technical industry
