Doctoral Researcher in Proteomics and BMP Signal Transduction | Graduate Student in Proteomics and BMP Signal Transduction
Deutsches Krebsforschungszentrum
Job Summary
The German Cancer Research Center is seeking a highly motivated Doctoral Researcher to join the "Systems Biology of Signal Transduction" division, starting October 2025. This role focuses on investigating BMP receptor complex composition and iron-induced signal transduction, particularly in hepatocytes and hepatocellular carcinoma cells. The successful candidate will develop and apply quantitative mass spectrometry methods for various biological samples, integrate proteomics data with mathematical models to understand iron-regulatory pathways, and utilize phosphoproteomics to explore liver-bone communication. This interdisciplinary position involves close collaboration with computational biologists, modelers, and clinicians, contributing to publications and scientific presentations. It's an excellent opportunity for a talented individual to contribute to cutting-edge cancer research within a supportive and collaborative environment.
