Job Summary

This role involves acting as a sub-project leader for international certification projects focused on modern rail vehicles. The Certification Manager will oversee the entire approval process, managing it from the development phase right through to the vehicle's operational start-up. A critical part of the job is managing changes and necessary certification procedures for vehicles already in service. This requires extensive coordination with various external stakeholders, including government authorities, infrastructure operators, assessment bodies, and internal engineering departments across different locations. Successful candidates must hold a university degree in a relevant engineering discipline, such as Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering. Proficiency in both German and English at a B2 level is required. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (FH/ETH/TU) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field.

Experience

  • Professional experience managing certification processes for complex technical products is advantageous.
  • Technical knowledge regarding rail vehicles or rolling stock technology is beneficial.
  • Experience coordinating regulatory compliance efforts with external authorities, assessment bodies, and infrastructure operators.
