Job Summary
The Senckenberg Biodiversity and Climate Research Center in Frankfurt is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to conduct cutting-edge research on plant-bird interactions. This role involves advancing a mechanistic understanding of how plants and birds respond to climate change and other environmental drivers, establishing an independent research profile, and publishing findings in high-impact journals. The successful candidate will also be responsible for attracting third-party funding, mentoring early-career researchers, and contributing to teaching at Bachelor's and Master's levels. Required Skills
Education
Doctoral degree (completed or soon to be completed) in biology, ecology, or a closely related field
Experience
- Proven experience in fieldwork on plant-bird interactions
- Experience in bird captures and GPS telemetry
- Strong publication record relative to career stage
Languages
Additional
- Valid bird ringing license and experience in ringing corvids (desirable)
