Job Summary

This role involves managing the digitization and curation of the Senckenberg Herbarium collections in Frankfurt. The Collection Manager will be responsible for overseeing data management workflows, ensuring data quality, and coordinating digitization projects, including leading auxiliary staff and volunteers. Key duties include updating systematic botanical nomenclature in the herbarium databases, managing biodiversity portals, and representing the department at technical workshops. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Biosciences, Data Science, or a related field, possesses extensive experience with biological databases and current digitization methods, and demonstrates strong analytical and communication skills in both German and English.
