Job Summary

As an IT Specialist for Backup & Recovery, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust backup and recovery strategies across hybrid IT infrastructures, encompassing both on-premises and Azure Cloud environments. Your daily responsibilities will include administering and optimizing backup systems like Dell EMC NetWorker and AvePoint Cloud Backup, automating backup schedules with tools such as Automic Software, and ensuring data integrity through vigilant monitoring and regular restore tests. You will also troubleshoot datacenter issues, collaborate with other IT teams to maintain a stable infrastructure, document processes, and contribute to the ongoing evolution of the backup and recovery landscape. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a passion for data security and process optimization.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or comparable qualification (e.g., IT Specialist for System Integration with professional experience)

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in IT infrastructure with a focus on Backup & Recovery, ideally in hybrid environments
  • In-depth knowledge in the administration of backup systems, preferably Dell EMC NetWorker and/or AvePoint Cloud Backup
  • Experience with automation tools, ideally Automic Software, for process control
  • Programming skills for automating routine tasks through scripting (e.g., PowerShell)
