Job Summary

Join the German Weather Service (DWD) in Offenbach am Main as a Team Leader for Local Networks and Network Management. This role is crucial for ensuring secure and high-performance IT communication infrastructures and network-related services for approximately 25,000 employees across the German Federal Ministry of Transport (BMDV) business area. You will be responsible for the conception and operation of the nationwide complex LAN infrastructure, including designing and coordinating active and passive networking components for meteorological production systems, workstations, and measurement systems. Additionally, you will oversee the planning and monitoring of technological expansion and coordinate monitoring and logging systems for the entire communication infrastructure. Leading a team of seven, this position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to critical national infrastructure, requiring strong technical expertise in network operations and leadership skills.
