This pivotal role involves leading and developing a public utility association responsible for water supply and wastewater disposal for approximately 46,000 residents across five municipalities in Brandenburg, Germany. The Executive Director will strategically and operationally manage the association, overseeing daily administrative tasks, ensuring compliance with statutes, and implementing decisions from the assembly. A key responsibility includes leading a team of 17 employees and coordinating external service providers. The role also involves supervising and guiding the operating company responsible for the association's services and representing the organization publicly. Required Skills

Education

University degree, preferably in Economics, Civil Engineering (with focus on Water Management), or Law

Experience

  • Several years of experience in a leadership position within a public utility association, supply/disposal company, or municipal administration
  • Extensive business management experience
  • Knowledge of the water supply and wastewater disposal sector's regulatory framework and tasks
  • Knowledge of municipal structures and decision-making processes
