Job Summary
This role offers a highly motivated individual the opportunity to join TUD Dresden University of Technology as a Research Associate and PhD Student within the Faculty of Environmental Sciences. The successful candidate will contribute to a DFG-funded project investigating the impact of increasing aridity on above- and belowground litter decomposition and soil organic matter stabilization. Day-to-day activities will involve conducting extensive field and laboratory work, including biogeochemical analyses and the application of 13C-labelled litter to monitor decomposition and SOM formation along a unique precipitation gradient in Spain. This position is ideal for someone passionate about environmental science and eager to pursue further academic qualification, specifically a PhD, while addressing critical global challenges related to climate change and soil carbon dynamics.
Required Skills
Education
Master's degree or equivalent in Earth Sciences, Natural Sciences (e.g., Soil Sciences, Biogeochemistry, Environmental Sciences, Ecology, Biology), or related subjects
Experience
