Job Summary

This role, based at the TUD Dresden University of Technology's Faculty of Physics, is a research position focused on the ultrafast detection of THz-controlled light emitters within quantum matter. The successful candidate will join the Chair of Ultrafast Microscopy and Photonics, contributing to cutting-edge basic and application-related research in optoelectronics and novel semiconductors. Day-to-day tasks involve scientific research on the optical properties of excitonic many-particle states in two-dimensional materials coupled to THz radiation, including spectroscopic investigations, measurements, and analysis using advanced linear and non-linear microscopy combined with THz excitation and streak camera detectors. The position is ideal for a highly motivated individual seeking further academic qualification (PhD) within an international team, requiring a Master's degree in Physics and strong experimental skills in optics and material preparation.
