The University of Münster is seeking a dedicated Academic Lecturer / Senior Lecturer to join its Institute for Evolution and Biodiversity. Education
Completed university degree and a doctorate in Biology, Mathematics, or related fields
Experience
- Extensive experience in theoretical evolutionary biology, including statistical methods and modeling
- Postdoctoral research experience in evolutionary biology, evolutionary ecology, bioinformatics, or biodiversity research
- Experience in teaching the aforementioned subjects
- Professional experience of 3 years and 6 months post-university degree, or 1 year post-doctorate, for civil servant status

Additional
- Must be able to acquire German language skills within 3 years if not already proficient. Eligibility for civil servant status (Beamtenverhältnis) requires specific prior professional experience; otherwise, initial employment will be as an employee (EG 13 TV-L) with potential for later civil servant appointment.
