Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding fixed-term Postdoctoral Researcher position within the Secure Intelligent Distributed Systems (SIDS) research group at the University of Münster. The successful candidate will drive research aligned with the group's focus areas, including the security of machine learning methods, automated IT security risk management, and privacy-enhancing technologies. Day-to-day responsibilities involve publishing research in top-tier scientific venues, securing and executing third-party funded projects, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses (4 semester hours per week), and mentoring students on projects and theses. This role is designed for further academic qualification, potentially leading to a Habilitation or equivalent achievements. Candidates must hold a completed PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field, demonstrate significant research output through publications, and possess strong German and English proficiency, along with didactic skills for teaching.

Required Skills

Education

Completed University Degree (Bachelor/Master) and completed PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field are required. Strong academic performance (very good grades) is desirable.

Experience

  • Completed doctoral degree (PhD) in Computer Science or a closely related area is required
  • Significant and relevant research results, evidenced by publications in renowned journals/conferences, are required
  • Experience in acquiring and conducting third-party funded projects is advantageous
  • Experience in university teaching is advantageous
