Job Summary
The National Center for Tumor Diseases (NCT) Dresden is seeking an experienced Head of Administration to oversee the clinical-translational cancer research budget and drive the continuous development of efficient administrative structures and processes. This pivotal role involves close collaboration with various departments, managing financial planning, controlling, human resources, procurement, and contract matters. The successful candidate will act as a central point of contact for partner institutions, lead a dedicated team, and actively contribute to the strategic direction of NCT Dresden as a member of the executive board. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of cancer research management at the intersection of science, administration, and clinical practice within a leading German research institution.
Required Skills
Education
Master's degree or equivalent, preferably in Business, Law, Social Sciences, or Natural Sciences with relevant business administration experience. A doctorate is advantageous.
Experience
- Professional experience in a scientific environment or publicly funded research institutions is desirable
- Leadership experience with disciplinary and technical personnel responsibility
Languages
Additional
- Willingness to travel, especially to Heidelberg. Must provide proof of immunity against measles in accordance with the German Infection Protection Act (IfSG).
