Job Summary

This leadership role involves the comprehensive management and technical guidance of the Budget and Occupational Health and Safety department within the Waterways and Shipping Office Rhine, located in Bingen am Rhein. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, conducting, and following up on business audits, acting as the primary contact for budget-related matters, and providing expert advice based on current legal frameworks. A key part of the role is also managing all aspects of occupational health and safety, including developing and implementing a systematic health management system and participating in safety committee meetings. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the federal administration's vital work in maintaining Germany's waterways, combining financial oversight with critical safety responsibilities in a dynamic public sector environment.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (FH or Bachelor) as a Certified Public Administrator (Dipl. Verwaltungswirt/in) or completed further training as an Administrative Specialist (Verwaltungsfachwirt/in) or equivalent qualifications and experience.

  • Several years of professional experience in a comparable position within the public service
