The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing documentation and statistics regarding the performance and operational status of traffic engineering services, coordinating maintenance, repair, and inspection activities, and managing resource planning to meet quality objectives. Key responsibilities also include planning and developing communication networks, coordinating the evolution of network monitoring and fault handling systems, and managing procurement processes (including tenders). The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Information Technology and strong skills in network technology, project work, and procurement law. This is a crucial, fixed-term position until the end of 2026, based in Koblenz, with the potential for extension, contributing to the safety and future viability of inland shipping.

Education

University of Applied Sciences Diploma (FH-Diplom) or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Information Technology or comparable field

Experience

  • Professional experience as an Engineer
  • Practical experience in project work
  • Experience in measurement technology and error analysis in network technology
  • Knowledge in procurement law (VgV, UVgO, EVB-IT)
