Job Summary

This role involves managing and modernizing IT-supported sales processes within the Aviation Weather Service, focusing on customer service and technical support for aviation clients like EUROCONTROL, airports, and airlines. The manager will be responsible for analyzing and developing customer interfaces, particularly concerning SWIM and CRM systems, and ensuring technical alignment with internal IT departments (directories, webshops, databases). Key daily tasks include providing technical consultation on data interfaces and aviation data formats, executing after-sales services, and offering technical support for flight weather briefing systems and IT interfaces. The ideal candidate must have a background in IT or technical administration, strong German language skills (C1 minimum), and a proactive approach to customer order processing, including access configuration and billing approval. Experience with CRM systems and aviation meteorology is highly desirable.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist, IT Systems Management Assistant, Mathematical-Technical Software Developer, or comparable IT qualification; OR successfully completed career training for the intermediate technical administrative service

Experience

  • Professional experience in utilizing Geodata services (OGC-WebServices or OGC-APIs) and supporting customers regarding these services (desirable)
  • Professional experience in applying customer support software and systems (CRM systems, especially Cobra) (desirable)
  • Professional experience in sales and accounting to support customer care, order processing, and billing of services (desirable)
  • Knowledge and interest in flight weather service and aviation (advantageous)
