Job Summary

The Universitätsklinikum Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE) is seeking a Research Associate to join their University Cancer Center (UCC Hamburg). This role, funded by the German Cancer Aid, focuses on the scientific and organizational management of clinical studies within oncology networks and with various partners. The successful candidate will be responsible for the scientific oversight of investigator-initiated clinical trials from planning to evaluation, contributing to scientific publications, and strategically planning oncology studies, including feasibility assessment, regulatory compliance, and financial aspects. The position also involves preparing funding applications, organizing study network meetings, and coordinating cross-site academic study consortia. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with a background in life sciences or public health to contribute to cutting-edge oncology research in a leading university hospital.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Natural Sciences, Clinical Epidemiology, Public Health, or equivalent qualifications and professional experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in planning and coordinating extensive clinical study projects in academic and industrial environments (desirable)
  • Basic knowledge of international and national regulatory frameworks for conducting clinical studies
  • Experience in coordinating scientific networks and consortia
