Job Summary

The Universitätsklinikum Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE) is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher for a two-year, full-time position in Experimental Cardiovascular Research. This role, part of an independent research group led by Prof. Dr. Molina, focuses on validating therapeutic targets for cardiac arrhythmias. The successful candidate will conduct cutting-edge research using human experimental models, investigating calcium and cyclic nucleotide signaling in human cardiomyocytes through advanced live-cell imaging and molecular techniques. Key responsibilities include performing FRET-based imaging, confocal calcium imaging, Western Blot, and qPCR, as well as analyzing large datasets and presenting findings at scientific conferences. This position offers an excellent research environment within a dynamic international team, with opportunities for multidisciplinary collaboration in both basic and clinical science.

Required Skills

Education

Master's degree in Biology, Medicine, or comparable life sciences; PhD

Experience

  • Professional experience with FRET systems
  • Prior experience in imaging techniques, Western Blot, and qPCR is beneficial
  • Experience in generating and analyzing large datasets
  • Experience presenting work at scientific conferences
  • Experience writing review articles and original research manuscripts
