Job Summary

This part-time PhD student position at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE) offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in developmental neurobiology and paediatric neuro-oncology. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and interdisciplinary team investigating molecular mechanisms in medulloblastoma, the most common malignant brain tumor in children. The role involves utilizing modern technologies like single-cell RNA sequencing and DNA methylation profiling, alongside in vitro and in vivo methods, to identify new therapy targets. This position is ideal for a highly motivated individual with a strong background in natural sciences or bioinformatics, eager to engage in an ambitious, DFG-funded research project with close mentorship and a supportive team environment.

Required Skills

Education

Master’s degree or equivalent in natural sciences, bioinformatics, or a related subject

Experience

  • Professional experience in molecular science research
  • Experience with omics data (ideally)
