Job Summary

As an IT Customer Support Specialist at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE), you will be the primary point of contact for end-users, providing on-site support for general and specific IT inquiries. Your day-to-day will involve resolving user requests, managing accounts and permissions, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and maintaining Windows and Linux servers. You'll also support medical devices, train users, and coordinate with IT service providers. This role offers a structured, interdisciplinary environment within a leading university hospital, focusing on the Hamburg City Health Study, a large-scale observational study. It's an opportunity to contribute to significant health research while working in a supportive team with regulated hours.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training in IT (e.g., IT Specialist, IT Systems Electronics Technician, IT Management Assistant, IT Systems Management Assistant)

Experience

  • Relevant professional experience in IT
  • Good knowledge of Windows environment
  • Knowledge in Windows server infrastructure
  • Knowledge in network and system administration
  • Knowledge in Linux server infrastructure (advantageous)
