Job Summary
The Paul-Ehrlich-Institut, a federal scientific institution specializing in vaccine and biomedical drug testing and approval, is seeking a Technical Assistant for its IMG 3 "Product Testing of Immunological Drugs" department. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the state batch testing of immunoglobulins, sera, and other biomedical drugs. Your daily tasks will involve conducting biological assays in a QM-regulated environment (DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025), meticulously documenting results, and contributing to the development and validation of new biological assays. This position offers a dynamic opportunity to work within a highly regulated scientific setting, contributing to public health by ensuring the quality and safety of critical biomedical products. The ideal candidate will possess a background in laboratory techniques, an interest in assay development, and excellent organizational skills.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Technical Assistant or Biologylaboratory Technician
Experience
- Initial experience in statistical evaluation of biological assays (e.g., CombiStats)
- Interest in the further development of biological assays
- Experience with ELISAs and FACS analyses (advantageous)
- Initial experience in a QM-regulated environment (desirable)

- This is a fixed-term contract for three years. Part-time employment is possible. The position is rated E 9a TVöD Bund. Applicants with severe disabilities will be given preferential consideration if equally qualified.
