Job Summary
This role is for a Portfolio Manager specializing in virtual power plants, joining the Trading & Supply Management department at Stadtwerke Lübeck Energie GmbH. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping portfolio strategies, managing risks, and optimizing the company's energy portfolio. Day-to-day responsibilities include procuring electricity, gas, and certificates, developing hedging strategies, and managing quantity and price risks. The position also involves continuous market observation, data analysis, and the development of risk and pricing models, alongside ensuring regulatory compliance and robust reporting. This is an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking professional to contribute to the transformation of heat supply projects and drive strategic initiatives within the energy sector.
Required Skills
Education
Completed technical-economic degree, e.g., in Industrial Engineering, or equivalent knowledge and skills. Additional qualification as a certified Energy Portfolio Manager or Stock Trader (spot or futures market) is a plus.
Experience
- Professional experience in the energy industry, ideally in virtual power plants and/or short-term portfolio optimization
- Project management practice
- Sound knowledge in procurement markets, risk management, and market analysis
Languages
Additional
- Understanding of relevant energy industry regulations (e.g., EnWG, EEG, KWK).
