Job Summary
The City of Potsdam is seeking an experienced and dynamic Team Leader for their newly established Procurement Unit 3. This pivotal role involves both the disciplinary and technical leadership of a growing team, initially comprising three members and expanding to up to seven. The successful candidate will be instrumental in setting up and establishing this new unit, overseeing operational processes, and managing resource allocation. Key responsibilities also include strategic planning and steering of procurement processes for both goods/services and construction projects, particularly within the Building and Real Estate sectors for the Municipal Real Estate Service. This position requires strong leadership, project management capabilities, and in-depth knowledge of procurement law, offering a unique opportunity to shape and optimize administrative processes within a thriving city.
Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree in Laws, Public Management, Administrative Specialist, or comparable qualification
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in the field of contract awarding/procurement
- Extensive experience in administrative work
- Leadership experience with personnel management competence
