This is a pivotal, full-time, and permanent role within the Department of Order and Security for the City of Potsdam, reporting directly to the Department Head. The Specialist will be instrumental in supporting core project- and personnel-related processes, focusing on quality and structural improvements within the department. Key responsibilities include strategic planning of documentation structures, providing expert advice on security-specific topics, and offering consultation on personnel planning, development, and controlling. A major focus involves building and enhancing a personnel requirements assessment system and leading complex internal and cross-departmental projects, such as preparing for the implementation of e-files. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's Degree/Diploma (FH) in Public Administration, Administration/Law, Public Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Administrative Sciences, Economics, or certified Administrative Specialist (Verwaltungsfachwirt) or equivalent qualification.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in public service (mandatory)
  • Relevant experience in strategic and planning tasks (desirable)
  • Extensive experience in building, developing, and designing new structures and processes
  • Profound experience in planning and controlling complex projects from economic, operational, strategic, and legal perspectives
  • Profound knowledge of Personnel Management
