This role involves contributing to the development and maintenance of the city's Geodata Infrastructure (GDI), which is crucial for urban planning and decision-making in Regensburg. The specialist will be responsible for selecting appropriate technologies, adhering to Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) standards, and managing various software components like web, database, and map servers. Key tasks include enhancing the city's Geoportal, creating user interfaces, and implementing innovative solutions for online geodata presentation, such as 3D portals and integrating diverse GIS/CAD systems. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Dipl. (FH) / Bachelor) in Geoinformatics or Informatics, preferably with a focus on Geoinformatics or Visualization, or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • In-depth knowledge and practical experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and geodatabases
  • Programming experience in Python, PyQGIS, and JSON
  • Practical experience with Geodata Infrastructure (GDI) components (e.g., map servers, database servers, web servers, Masterportal)
  • Practical experience with Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) technologies and standards
