Job Summary

This role involves ensuring the smooth operation and continuous improvement of log management and network diagnostic systems. The specialist will be responsible for performing release and version updates for QRadar, managing Syslog connections, and adapting existing log integrations to central log management within a BSI environment. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with connection preparation, troubleshooting network issues, and conducting planned maintenance such as checking local log files and performing connection tests. The position also entails operating a Linux VM-based log relay with Syslog-ng, managing WEC servers, and performing manual monitoring and incident resolution for logging functionalities. Required Skills

Education

IT degree or recognized IT vocational training, or LPIC1 certification (preferred)

Experience

  • Professional experience or training in an IT degree program or a recognized IT vocational training, alternatively a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the IT field
  • Professional experience or further training in Service Management (ITIL V3 or V4)
  • Training or experience in Linux and knowledge of current Linux server operating systems (RHEL 8/9) and SLES 15
  • Training or experience with Windows server operating systems (Server 2016 and newer)
  • Professional experience in operating logging software such as WEC, QRadar, and Syslog systems
  • Experience in the network area, including knowledge of tests to control network functionality using command-line commands (bash or cmd)
