Job Summary
Join a leading research group in Germany focused on high-temperature processes for energy conversion systems. This role involves developing and enhancing scientific software for simulating reacting gas-flowed particle systems, combining both experimental and numerical work. You will support experimental setups, conduct measurements, develop models within a proprietary simulation tool, and perform simulations of practical particle processes. The position requires strong analytical skills for data post-processing and optimization of simulation code, contributing to cutting-edge research in energy technology. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with a Master's degree in a relevant engineering or science field, looking to pursue a PhD while contributing to impactful scientific software development and experimental validation.

Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Environmental Engineering, or Chemistry
Experience
- Prior experience in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), ideally with OpenFOAM, or Discrete Element Simulation (DEM) is beneficial
- Experience in experimental work is desired
