Job Summary

The Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) is seeking a dedicated IT Systems Administrator to join their IT Business Applications department in Bonn. This role involves the comprehensive administration and support of central IT business applications, including server applications, databases, and middleware within Linux and Microsoft Windows environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating, configuring, and administering new and existing IT applications, ensuring their operational stability and security. Key tasks include technical administration of the ERP system MACH, proactive monitoring, creating technical documentation, and implementing IT security measures. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent (DQR/EQR Level 6) in Computer Science, Technical Computer Science, IT Security, Communication Technology, IT Management, Administrative Informatics, Business Informatics, or a comparable field with an IT/technical focus; alternatively, a Bachelor Professional in Information and Communication Technology or Computer Science.

Experience

  • Professional experience in administering business applications, databases, and middleware in Linux and/or Windows environments
  • Experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux, Microsoft Windows Server, and Microsoft SQL Server
  • Knowledge in administering MACH Web software
