Job Summary

This leadership role involves steering the Central Software Development Service Infrastructure (ZSSI) for the Federal Administration Office (BVA), driving digitalization across the organization. The successful candidate will lead a team of 5-10 employees, overseeing the setup, operation, and optimization of a modern, high-performance development environment crucial for efficient and secure software delivery. Day-to-day responsibilities include the strategic advancement of Continuous Integration (CI) and rollout processes, the introduction of container-based operating models, and integrating Quality and Security Gates within the CI pipeline. Key requirements include a Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in agile software development, and proven professional experience in software development or managing external IT service providers (e.g., as a Project Manager or Product Owner). Required Skills

Education

Master's or Diploma degree in Computer Science or related field, or a university degree in another field combined with relevant professional experience

Experience

  • At least two years of professional experience, skills, or knowledge in software development (e.g., Java programming language/development platform) OR in steering external service providers (e.g., as IT Project Manager or Product Owner)
  • Professional experience or knowledge in agile software development (Mandatory alternative)
  • At least one year of experience in team leadership (Advantageous)
  • At least one year of professional experience in steering and coordinating external service providers (Advantageous)
  • Professional experience in secure operation of software development platforms (Advantageous)
