Job Summary

This permanent position as an Infrastructure Security Engineer at the BSI (Federal Office for Information Security) in Bonn focuses on ensuring the security and high availability of data centers within the Federal Administration. Day-to-day tasks involve consulting government clients, conducting complex audits and revisions based on BSI standards, analyzing causes of IT structure failures, and developing comprehensive security concepts, guidelines, and standards related to physical infrastructure. This includes managing aspects like power supply, climate control, fire protection, access control, and technical monitoring. The role requires a Master's degree in a relevant technical or engineering field and at least two years of professional experience in Technical Building Equipment or Infrastructure Security, coupled with project management expertise. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or equivalent (Diplom Uni) in Technical Building Equipment, Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, IT Security, Physics, or a comparable technical field.

Experience

  • Minimum two years of professional experience in Technical Building Equipment or Infrastructure Security
  • Professional experience in project management
  • Basic knowledge of relevant standards for Technical Building Equipment and Data Center facilities
  • Basic knowledge of construction project execution
