This role involves developing, testing, and standardizing equipment and provisions for the Technical Relief Agency's (THW) specialized units focused on drinking water supply, water damage, and pumping. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed technical specifications, conducting sample acceptance, and performing technical inspections of new equipment. A key part of the job includes managing procurement processes for these specialized areas, encompassing needs assessment, deadline monitoring, order processing, and inventory management using the THWin system. Furthermore, the role requires leading and participating in working groups and contributing to the creation of training regulations. This position is vital for ensuring the THW is equipped to respond effectively to emergencies and disasters, offering a secure, full-time position in Bonn with flexible hours and opportunities for international project involvement.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Water Management, or comparable field from a university or university of applied sciences

Experience

  • Professional experience in drinking water treatment and distribution
  • Professional experience in emergency and replacement water supply
  • Experience in water pumping and conveyance
  • Experience in procurement and contract law is beneficial
