Job Summary

The Deutsche Bundesbank is seeking a Backend Application Developer to join their team in Frankfurt am Main. This role involves taking responsibility for the operation and further development of the business logic (backend) for the T2 payment system, specifically focusing on CLM/RTGS. The successful candidate will analyze future requirements for technical feasibility, design, and implement software components, and extend existing software based on functional and technical needs. Key responsibilities also include developing technical concepts, coordinating with internal departments, evaluating technical requirements for software components, and developing interfaces to other systems. The role requires maintaining software components, supporting incident analysis for RTGS-Settlements, creating deployment artifacts, and resolving incidents to ensure smooth productive operations within T2. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with strong IT skills and experience in software development within a financial context to contribute to the stability of the Euro.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an information technology-focused field, or comparable knowledge from long-term professional experience.

Experience

  • Long-term professional experience with IBM Integration Bus (IIB)
  • Experience in ESQL programming and DB2 database system
  • Extensive experience with IT Service Management processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Release, and Config Management)
  • Experience in software development methodologies, procedures, and implementation
  • Experience in agile projects
  • Experience with client/server system landscapes (Windows Server, Linux), ideally in an international environment
  • Experience in data modeling of client/server applications
