Job Summary

This role involves joining the IT team at the German Central Bank to engineer, administer, and continuously optimize a hybrid SAP landscape, which includes business-critical SAP systems both on-premise and in the SAP Cloud. Day-to-day tasks include performing updates, upgrades, and configuration of SAP Basis systems (like S/4HANA and BW/4HANA), supporting solution management, and implementing necessary IT security measures. The engineer will integrate new SAP interfaces and technologies, contribute expertise to SAP-related IT projects, and provide crucial Last Level Support, including mandatory on-call duty for critical applications. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience, along with a minimum of two years of professional experience in SAP Basis administration and strong knowledge of various SAP technologies and ITIL processes. Excellent communication skills in both German and English are required for this position, which contributes to the IT foundation supporting central banking functions.

Experience

  • At least 3 years of professional experience (if no Bachelor's degree)
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in SAP Basis administration (ERP, S/4HANA, BW/4HANA)
  • Experience in IT security and established ITIL processes
  • Experience participating in SAP-related IT projects
