Job Summary

This is a pivotal leadership role as Head of the Financial Management and IT Department, and Deputy Head of the "KiTa and Childcare" division, for a major public sector employer in Aachen, Germany. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all financial management and IT processes within a large department of approximately 1,200 employees, which manages 56 municipal day-care centers and oversees 89 independent facilities. Key responsibilities include leading a team, managing budgets, and ensuring the complex financial funding of public day-care centers, including state funding and parent contributions. This position requires strong conceptual thinking, negotiation skills, and the ability to analyze complex legal issues to support strategic decisions for the future of child and youth welfare in Aachen.
