Job Summary

As an IT Specialist for Mainframe & Batch Scheduling at FERCHAU, you will be responsible for planning, maintaining, and monitoring batch jobs on IBM z/OS systems using JCL-based jobs. You'll utilize mainframe job scheduling software such as IBM Workload Scheduler (TWS), Zeke, or Control-M to analyze and optimize existing batch processes, handle errors, monitor SLAs, and manage escalations. Your day-to-day tasks include adjusting JCL, schedules, and calendar definitions (holidays, business days), monitoring running jobs, evaluating log files, identifying error situations, performing restarts, and implementing corrective measures. You'll also ensure compliance with audit and documentation requirements. This role requires a completed degree or training in computer science or equivalent qualification, several years of experience in mainframe batch operations (APX/PCC, IBM z/OS, JCL, JES2/JES3), experience with large-volume batch processes (terabyte data, millions of records), and knowledge of scheduling tools like CA7 or Control-M. Familiarity with UNIX and SAP is also required.   • Experience in administration of mainframe systems (e.g., IBM Z-Series)
  • Experience with scheduling tools (CA7, Control-M, or similar)
  • Experience in troubleshooting and performance optimization on mainframe systems
