Job Summary

The University of Rostock is seeking a dedicated Research Associate in Physics to join its Dynamic Molecular Systems group. This role focuses on cutting-edge research in time-resolved femtosecond spectroscopy of spin-crossover complexes, with the aim of scientific qualification through a doctoral degree. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and setting up laboratory experiments, analyzing and interpreting measurement data, and preparing and characterizing iron complexes in polymers. Additionally, the position involves teaching duties related to the project, supporting scientific organizational tasks, and publishing research findings. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Diplom, Master, or equivalent) in Physics with at least a very good result

Experience

  • Experience with optical setups and handling ultrashort laser pulses
  • Knowledge of conducting and evaluating time-resolved spectroscopy experiments
  • Experience with iron complexes and their relaxation mechanisms
  • Experience in handling and preparing polymers
  • Experimental aptitude
