Job Summary
The Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel is seeking an IT Specialist to manage and enhance their web hosting environment, focusing on PHP hosting, database servers, and content management systems like Typo3 and Plone. This role involves integrating services into the university's IT infrastructure, providing and supporting standard applications, and consulting with scientists and application administrators on technology selection and deployment. The ideal candidate will have a university degree in Computer Science or a related field, strong Linux server and database administration skills, and proficiency in scripting languages. Education
University degree in Computer Science or a related engineering or natural science field
Experience
- Professional experience in Linux-based web server and database administration

- Experience with version control (git) and/or configuration management (ansible) is desirable
- Basic knowledge of container-based infrastructures (Docker, Kubernetes) is desirable
