Join a leading public sector IT team in Berlin as a Senior Oracle Administrator, playing a crucial role in evolving one of Germany's largest IT systems. You will be instrumental in designing and developing the target architecture for the Oracle database platform, ensuring its future viability and strategic advancement. This involves defining and refining technical standards for performance, scalability, and security, as well as planning migrations and modernizing the Oracle database landscape. Required Skills

Education

Completed scientific university studies (Diploma, Master or equivalent degree) preferably in IT, or an equivalent qualification based on demonstrably equivalent skills and experience.

Experience

  • Several years of relevant experience in the operation and/or design of Oracle database systems
  • Extensive knowledge and long-term experience in the conception and further development of database architectures or platform design in complex IT environments
  • Good knowledge in the areas of high availability, performance optimization, and scaling of database systems
  • Experience with Oracle Exadata or comparable Engineered Systems is advantageous
  • Good knowledge of Linux-based systems and ideally experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible)
