Job Summary

We are seeking a Specialist in Java Application Development to join our team at the Data Center of the Pension Insurance (DSRV) in Würzburg. In this role, you will be responsible for independently programming complex applications for the further development of information systems, data exchange, and central processes, such as social security number allocation. You will also conduct program analyses, testing, and analyze technical requirements, creating high-level and detailed concepts. Collaboration in project groups and committees is also a key part of this position. This role offers a fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension, working on core systems for pension insurance data.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Bachelor or Diplom FH) in IT, or completed vocational training in IT, or a comparable qualification (e.g., IT-specific qualification)

Experience

  • Several years of relevant experience in the IT field
  • Professional experience in application development using Java
  • Experience with Eclipse-based or comparable development environments
  • Experience with Maven, Java 8, JEE + JEE Batch, Compute Grid, WebSphere 9, Oracle, and PL/SQL
  • Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git)
  • Experience with SQL Developer, SoapUI, APX, Visual Studio Code, Angular, Node.js, Spring, XML, and JSON is desirable
