Job Summary

The City of Hameln is seeking a Payment Transactions Clerk to join the City Treasury department. In this role, you will be responsible for the smooth processing of all incoming and outgoing payments, including booking transactions in financial systems, handling various payment types (disbursements, refunds, payroll, international transfers), and processing bank statements. You will also monitor and resolve booking discrepancies, manage dunning procedures, and handle complex financial cases. The position involves creating statistics, assisting with year-end closing, and potentially managing the online cash register. This is a full-time, permanent position with compensation based on qualifications according to EG 8 TVöD / A 8 NBesG. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as an administrative assistant (Verwaltungsfachangestellte) or successful completion of the Angestelltenlehrgang I, OR qualification for the 2nd entry level of career group 1 in the general services field.

Experience

  • Minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in payment transactions or a related financial field.
  • Experience in handling incoming and outgoing payments and booking them in financial systems.
  • Experience in processing and verifying bank statements and payment transactions.
  • Experience in managing dunning procedures and complex financial cases.
  • Experience supporting year-end closing activities is desirable.
