This role involves the comprehensive management of traffic signal systems and street lighting for the City of Hameln. As part of the Traffic Planning and Road Systems department, you will be responsible for the technical oversight of lighting equipment, traffic computers, and digital cadastral records. Your day-to-day tasks include handling tenders, procurement, construction management, and invoicing for infrastructure projects, such as LED conversions and intelligent lighting upgrades. You will also provide expert assessments for damage claims and offer technical guidance to external planning offices and utility companies. Required Skills

Education

State-certified Technician (Staatlich geprüfter Techniker) specializing in Electrical Engineering or a Master Craftsman (Meister) certificate in Electrical Engineering.

Experience

  • Professional experience in electrical engineering or a related technical field
  • Experience in the management, maintenance, and repair of electrical infrastructure
  • Proven track record in project management, including tendering, awarding, and invoicing of construction measures
  • Experience in creating technical concepts for system optimization and intelligent lighting
  • Professional experience in dealing with technical guidelines and safety regulations (VDE, DGUV)
