Job Summary

This role focuses on enhancing IT security strategies and managing IT projects within the City of Münster's Department for Civil Protection, Fire and Rescue Services. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing IT security architecture, managing security-relevant projects, and advising departments on secure technology adoption. Key responsibilities include maintaining the IT security concept, conducting risk assessments, selecting and implementing security solutions, and contributing to emergency and crisis management. The position requires a university degree with an IT focus or equivalent administrative qualifications, coupled with at least three years of professional experience in IT or digitalization, and a minimum of three years in IT project management with an IT security or risk management emphasis. Education

Completed university degree with an IT focus (e.g., Administrative Informatics, Business Informatics, Computer Science, Business Administration) OR qualification for general administration service (Laufbahngruppe 2, 1. Experience

  • Minimum three years of professional experience in IT or digitalization.
  • Minimum three years of professional experience in IT project management with a focus on IT security or risk management.
  • At least three years of post-graduate professional experience (studienadäquate Berufserfahrung) if holding a relevant university degree.
  • Alternatively, for civil servants: Minimum three years of employment in salary group A 11 or equivalent experience.
  • Alternatively, for salaried employees: Minimum three years of employment in pay group 10 or equivalent experience.
