Job Summary

Join the Federal Waterways and Shipping Administration as an Electronics Technician for Information and System Electronics. In this role, you will be responsible for the planned maintenance, servicing, and repair of radio, cable, video, and transmission technology, as well as level and telephone systems for the Elbe and Spree-Havel waterways. Your daily tasks will involve performing regular preventive maintenance, diagnosing and replacing faulty components, and documenting issues using technical diagrams and software. This position requires a completed vocational training in electronics or IT systems electronics, coupled with knowledge of radio technology, transmission systems, and telephone/video systems. If you are proficient in German (C1 level) and possess strong MS Office skills, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a vital public service.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as an Electronics Technician for Information and System Electronics, IT System Electronics, or a comparable vocational qualification.

Experience

  • Completed vocational training as an Electronics Technician for Information and System Electronics, IT System Electronics, or comparable qualification
  • Professional experience in radio technology, transmission technology, and telephone/video systems
  • Experience with measurement devices for transmission and cable technology
  • Experience with MS Office Suite
