Job Summary

This PhD position focuses on advancing Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) techniques for prostate cancer characterization. You will research and utilize novel diffusion MRI methods to analyze microscopic tissue structures, conduct and evaluate MRI experiments, and develop/adapt MRI sequences using source code access in collaboration with Siemens Healthineers. The role involves working with state-of-the-art 1.5T and 3T clinical MRI systems, with one 3T system dedicated to research. You will collaborate closely with clinical partners and radiologic experts. The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in Physics, Engineering, or a related field, possesses excellent English skills, and ideally has experience in programming MR pulse sequences. This is a part-time (25 hrs/week) position, initially limited to 3 years, with a salary up to E13 TV-L.
