Job Summary
This role involves managing and supporting chemical and hydraulic laboratories within the Faculty of Civil Engineering. Key responsibilities include ensuring the functionality of equipment, managing chemicals and supplies, and overseeing various instrumental and apparatus-based analysis methods. You will also prepare and conduct chemistry practical sessions for students, guide them through experiments, and assist with teaching activities and thesis work, including method development and result interpretation. Additionally, you'll be involved in organizing and running experiments for public events like "Boys and Girls Day". The position requires a qualified chemical laboratory technician or equivalent, with knowledge of chemical/physical methods, analytical work, and ideally hazardous materials handling. Proficiency in MS Office and data evaluation is also necessary.

Completed training as a Chemical Laboratory Technician, Chemical-Technical Assistant (CTA), Environmental-Technical Assistant (UTA), or comparable qualification.
Experience
- Completed training as a Chemical Laboratory Technician, Chemical-Technical Assistant (CTA), Environmental-Technical Assistant (UTA), or comparable qualification.
- Knowledge in chemical and physical methods.
- Experience in performing preparative and analytical work.
- Experience with hazardous materials handling is optimal.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Experience with measurement data evaluation.

- The position is full-time, fixed-term for 2 years. The role is generally suitable for part-time work. Foreign university degrees require a certificate evaluation from ZAB for employment consideration.
