Job Summary

Essex Solutions Germany GmbH, a subsidiary of the global Superior Essex Group, seeks a Finance Specialist to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for accounts payable, including processing invoices, managing payments, and reconciling vendor accounts. You will also handle VAT and tax compliance, preparing and submitting VAT returns and ensuring correct treatment of national and international transactions. The position involves contributing to month-end closing processes, performing account reconciliations, and supporting financial reporting under HGB/IFRS. Additionally, you will support internal controls, process optimization, and provide administrative tasks like open item monitoring and error correction within the SAP system. This role requires strong analytical skills, accuracy, and effective communication, offering a chance to work within a leading European manufacturer of copper wires.

Required Skills

Education

Completion of a minimum 4-year higher education program, or a minimum 3-year specialized vocational training combined with at least 2 years of professional experience and additional specialized further training, or equivalent.

Experience

  • 3-6 years of professional experience in financial accounting (accounts payable, VAT, or general ledger)
  • Professional experience in tax compliance, particularly German and EU VAT regulations
  • Experience with ERP systems, specifically SAP
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is advantageous
  • Experience in financial reporting and month-end closing procedures
