Job Summary

Join a cutting-edge research team at the Jülich Centre for Neutron Science (JCNS-2) investigating the novel physics of altermagnetic Weyl semimetals using polarized inelastic neutron scattering. This PhD position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the emerging field of altermagnetism and its potential applications in future spintronic and quantum technologies. You will prepare samples, perform advanced characterization using various techniques, conduct experiments at large-scale facilities, and analyze/publish your findings. The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in physics, chemistry, materials science, or a related field, with a strong command of English and an interest in scattering techniques and quantum materials.
