Job Summary
This Master's thesis project offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of materials science research at Forschungszentrum Jülich's Ernst Ruska-Centre. You will conduct electrochemical liquid phase transmission electron microscopy (EC-LPTEM) experiments and develop advanced computer vision and image processing workflows to analyze nucleation and early-stage growth phenomena during electroplating. This role involves hands-on experimental work with state-of-the-art equipment, developing robust quantification methods for TEM videos, extracting key nucleation metrics, and connecting these findings to electrochemical theory. The position is ideal for a motivated student seeking to gain significant practical experience in a world-class research institute, contributing to future-oriented, socially relevant research with direct practical applications in an international setting.
