Job Summary

Join a team dedicated to the digital future of Germany as a Senior IT Service Technician in Berlin. This full-time, permanent role involves providing stable, secure, and efficient IT services for the German Armed Forces, supporting critical operations both domestically and abroad. You will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, upgrade, and maintenance of hardware, on-site support for IT/telecommunications issues, and managing IT infrastructure, including network and server environments. The position offers the chance to contribute to significant digitalization projects and enhance the security capabilities of the Bundeswehr. Ideal candidates possess a technical IT education, several years of relevant experience, and strong organizational skills.

Required Skills

Education

Completed apprenticeship as an IT System Electronics Technician, IT Specialist System Integration, or a comparable qualification

Experience

  • Three years of professional experience in IT service tasks
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving IT/TK (Hardware, Networks, Telecommunications) issues in an on-site user support environment
  • Experience with ticket systems, knowledge bases, and IT processes (ITIL) is desirable
  • Experience and qualification in DGUV V3 inspections is advantageous

German (Fluent)

  • Driver's License Class B required
  • Willingness to participate in on-call duties
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring mobility, coordination, and working in varying postures, including lifting and carrying equipment
